Our Story
Athina is an internationally-trained beauty therapist with over 8 years of experience. Her speciality is skin-care and treatments. With her global product experience, and after settling in Australia; Athina soon realised that many quality worldwide products were not offered in Australia (especially her favourite ones).
The larger Australian distribution companies only offering the mainstream products from larger manufacturers (with large marketing budgets), totally ignoring many smaller quality boutique manufacturers with better products. In response to this, Athina started ordering her favourite products, firstly for her own personal use, then for her clients, family, and friends. Offering value through bulk-ordering and tailored advice on product selection and use.
When the COVID 19 pandemic hit Australia, a substantial lockdown for many months resulted, crippling Athina’s Beauty salon business (not to mention the complete hospitality and retail industry) as clientele were not able to visit for treatments. Already having a passion for effective quality products, Athina decided to offer her great selection to the wider Australian community. Offering a lower risk and cheaper option than purchasing overseas. Hence athinacosmetics.com.au was born.
